Xintong Gong is an MPhil student in Digital Humanities at the University of Cambridge. Her current research seeks to understand the sociocultural implications of quantifying human emotions and behaviours through video game data collection practices. She completed her undergraduate study at King’s College London, where she received a first-class distinction in Culture, Media & Creative Industries BA. Her previous research was on understanding identity representation in video games. With a background in media theories, cultural analysis, and memory studies, she is also interested in digital and new media arts as both mediums and methods.
